Our story
Klug Nowy or Smart-Junger, can trace it's history back over 400 years to the world renowned Stey acrobatics family and Smart Circus family.
Much of the families history was involved in show-business until the post-war entertainments boom, following which, Billy Smarts Circus became one of the most recognised entertainments venues in England - being fortunate enough to hold the late Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee - as well as maintaining the prime broadcasting spot, following the Queens speech for over 20 years.
In the 1960s, the family further diversified into safari and real estate - purchasing and developing Windsor Safari Park (now Legoland) and various other properties in the surrounding area and overseas.
Following the passing of Billy Smart Sr. in 1966, the family divested its UK holdings and moved its interests overseas.
